And as an aspiring indie game programmer, I highly recommend any books by Packt to give you a push in the right direction. One such book is “iOS 7 Game Development” by Dmitri Volevodz.The book introduces you to “SpriteKit”, the native Objective-C simple game framework provided by Apple. Until I got my hands on this book, I was completely unaware of this framework and was surprised to find . Useless Book The information in this book is useless. It is a very tiny book, only about 3/8 inch thick so the nearly $30 price is a complete ripoff. It only has 7 chapters. Ch1 covering basic information and Ch7 on publishing to iTunes are worthless. Ch6 covers game controllers which is not needed if you only intend to create an iOS game. The other Useless Book Charles L Ryder The information in this book is useless.
