bradw"Nearly perfect" according to bradw2k. With a strong ASP.NET background but weak Windows Forms background, I read this book, merely reading though the labs and not studying in any other way, and passed the test readily. If you are new to .NET, it's better to start with the appropriate chapters of "Programming .NET" by Prosise. But with the basics of .NET under your belt, Kalani's book is great. I would say 95% of what was on my test was well covered by this book.Kalani makes it all seem straightforward -- which is a nice change from some other authors who would have you believe that all this new stuff is tricky. His examples are really awesome: simple enough to follow quickly, ye. k said Nearly perfect. A very big book but actually it doesn't seem quite so daunting whilst working through it. Although this book weighs in at 1083 pages (not including the glossary, index and appendix) it just seems like the pages fly by. I think this is because usually only about half of the page has content and the other half is reserved for exam tips, figures and what-not.This book is chalk full of sample questions, step by steps (which literally involve every step for creating a project), review breaks, exercises and guided practice exercises; which is pretty much a step by step, but instead they present a scenario that you should try to. dannomite said Very helpful, know C# first. I'm half-way through this book, and I'm very impressed. The excercises and their variety and applicability have been great. The side notes and practice exam questions are helpful too. Yes, this book is not for newcomers to C#. Read a beginner book first, then use this book as exam prep. The back cover of the book, which you can view on amazon website says the book is intended for those with working knowledge of C#.
