Fun, but with issues Amazon Customer ** WARNING: Contains spoilers! **It was remarkably difficult to figure out how many stars to give. I devoured the book, as I do all of CC's books. The Fargo adventures are fun to read, and I really like the whole husband-and-wife team. They are set up as real equals and have a distinct charm about them. However, I did take issue with a few things:1) While I love the different locales, I felt the trips to Nova Scotia and Brazil were contrived and added purely for filler. When you think about it, they added very little to the plot. There was also next to no transition - they just seemed to magically appear ever. The Fargo's at their best I always love a good Clive Cussler book Pirate did not disappoint. The Fargo's are on vacation in San Francisco and Remi wants to buy her husband a gift, an old book on Pirates. Sounds easy enough, she has learned of a book that is for sale by a friend who's relative is the owner of a rare book store. But when Remi goes to purchase the book this is where the fun begins. She is not the only one looking for the book. The store is robbed at gun point and Sam and Remi escape without harm. But why was this person interested in the same book as Remi? The spiral of events will take you on a long journey over several c. No Pirate Treasure Fred R. Lang I am a long time Clive Cussler fan. I have read almost everything he wrote. Dirk Pitt aside, my favorite series is the Oregon Files, when Jack DuBrul was the writing associate. Sam and Remi Fargo are an interesting couple, who seem to survive more near-death experiences than one could imagine. This latest adventure follows the formula that is the hallmark of Cussler's novels, something from the past that engages good and evil in the present day. When I encountered the extensive list of characters at the beginning of this novel, I had a flashback to the first Oregon Files novel that got lost in the cast of cha
