Didn't get to open it until over the weekend, I think Friday. And didn't get to put it down until this evening, after I'd read cover to cover, lived the story, cried during the auction, and ended with a commingled sense of disgust and helplessness about what our world had done - and indeed continues to on smaller scales in the seedier corners of society.The image Jessica created about Margaret's younger boy being chained up with a collar and having to trot alongside the horse to keep up . Sad and uncomfortable at times ASH@GA Sad and uncomfortable at times. However, it was nice to see the protagonist have some joy after so many years of fate turning against her.Positive and upbeat ending that makes you feel there is some justice in the world.
