My infant loves this book! My son's aunt gave him this book right after he was born. He's 2 months now, and absolutely loves it! He smiles and coos as soon as we open it up. This is the only book that he responds to in this way. It says 6 mos + for age, but I would recommend earlier based on my son's love for it.. RJ said My son's favorite. My son, now 1My son's favorite RJ My son, now 14 mos, has never liked it when we read to him. We keep trying, but so far he is far more interested in running around or playing with other toys. The only exception is this book--he LOVES it. He really responds to the pictures of both the animals and the babies, and he enjoys imitating what the babies are doing. The flaps are great--they are large enough that he could play with them from 6 or 7 mos on and he really l. mos, has never liked it when we read to him. Both of my twins loved this book as soon as I got it. Even though the kids are at 18 months and the book is mostly torn up, it is still their favorite. My daughter will even walk around the house saying "Soooo Big!" with a huge smile on her face. The pictures are great and it is simple and fun. The only problem is that the kids have been pretty hard on the flaps, so most of them are torn off of the rest of the book at this point
