DESCRIPTION:
wadescottjenkins said cheaply made.. Poor quality.the pages looked like they were made off of a cheap copy machine.the book did no tell enouph about jones' past.. "very light" according to Denis J. Kirkaldy. Just a collection of newspaper articles. No new insights. It could have been so much better. At least it didn't cost much.. George Jones - King of Broken Heart Great book. It has a lot of pictures from when he first started singing. George Jones is my most favorite country singer. This book is not long but well worth the money.
George Jones has been called one of country music's greatest singers. Featuring scores of exclusive images, The Tennessean tells the tale of this honey-tongued singer who captured hearts around the world.. Jones' voice "held the bracing power, the sweetness and the burn of an evening's final pull from a bourbon bottle," as Tennessean music columnist Peter Cooper writes so eloquently in this book. "George Jones: The King of Broken Hearts" examines Jones' legacy over six decades of a life that mirrored a country song - from his successful singing partnership and stormy marriage to fellow country music star Tammy Wynette, to his recklessness fueled by drugs and alcohol, to his redemption, spurred by the love and devotion of his fourth wife, Nancy. It also details Jones' honors - induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame, a Kennedy Center Honor and a Grammy for Lifetime Achievement
