Steam Punk anything is awesome, so when I saw this book I knew it would make the perfect gift, especially for this particular friend of mine. It feels extremely well made, the colors are true to what you see in the online photo, and it's just awesome! I'm a designer, so I appreciate when something is done tastefully, wh. "Wonderful art" according to Brandon. I was a backer for the kick-starter of this book. I am glad I was! This is a fun little book, and I look forward to sharing it with my future children. As far as book quality:A+, The hardcover is nice and sturdy. It's straight and the print on the front, back and spine feel like they'll last forever. The pages are equally quality. More of a card stock than paper, it adds a nice glossy finish to help prevent water damage or rips. Of course . Beautiful layout Rick This alphabet book is so much better than the boring ones I grew up with. The art is beautiful; the rhymes are clever; and as you read through the book each new letter adds another item to picture being used in world of steampunk. It's a fun book. I think children's books should encourage more imagination and creativity in the minds of children. Steampunk Alphabet does just that. Very cool.

In light of that, while all of the illustrations are total Steampunk, the opening 'letter sentence' for each page is a familiar word. Nat Iwata has been doing steampunk art for several years in the video game industry, and now he has illustrated a visually compelling, fun-for-all-ages Steampunk Alphabet book that is approachable both to fans and those unfamiliar with Steampunk. For example "A is for Apple." The idea of taking everyday ordinary things and reimagining them as Steampunk is sure to be a crowd pleaser, and especially appeal to all of the hipster parents. This portion will be more enjoyable to older kids and adults to enjoy, while the book could be read entirely with just the 'letter sentences' for younger readers.. The second part of each page is a description of the object as set in the Steampunk world. That's a given. Every family needs an alphabet book
