Hooray for The Pious Sex This collection of essays is an admirable work. Although I have not read all of the essays, everyone which I have read has been of high quality. The essays span from ancient texts to modern including biblical though not the New Testament. Each scholar takes the text that she or he examines seriously as he or she explores the political implication of women being pious.
