J. M. Spencer said Songs do not match (or really resemble) actual 1776 stage/film versions. This may be my own expectations lining up with what the product, but when I purchase vocal selections from a show, I generally expect the songs to be (occasionally abridged) as-written for the show. In this collection, "Is Anybody There" is COMPLETELY different from the stage/film versions, both lyrically and musically (bridge is missing) and seems to have been rewritten to be less focused on the plot of the show. This is a problem if you want to sing from the show (e.g., for an audition) and were looking for the songs for that purpose. I have n
