This book for young readers and their parents includes “The Legend of the Mountains,” a Native American legend about the creation of three Pacific Northwest volcanoes. In “Bob Loves Volcanoes”, he discovers how volcanoes are formed and that volcanoes build mountains all around the world! Then Bob and his friends from “Bob Loves Letters” uncover many other fun facts about volcanoes all over planet Earth. Meet Bob, a curious, curly-haired boy, who sets out to learn about the volcano he can see from his window. “Bob Loves Volcanoes” is Book 2 in the Bob Loves to Learn series.
"Terrific book for the young volcano enthusiast!" according to Kate D.. My almost-5-yr-old son received this book as a gift and he adores it--we have read it at least twice a day since receiving. The book is a perfect combination of interesting scientific fact and engaging fiction (the legend of the mountains at the end). The detailed illustrations are great, too--when I am busy, my son enjoys looking through them on his own. Highly recommended, especially for kids who enjoy learning about how things work!
